LG has unveiled the 49WQ95C, another monitor that falls under its UltraWide brand. Equipped with a 49-inch Nano IPS panel, the LG 49WQ95C has plenty of connectivity to go with its high resolution and high refresh rate display.
LG has presented the 49WQ95C, a 49-inch gaming monitor with a 3800R curvature. Equipped with a Nano IPS display, the LG 49WQ95C operates at 1440p (5,120 x 1,440) with a 32:9 aspect ratio. According to company, the LG 49WQ95C peaks at 320 cd/m², has a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and offers 98% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Also, the LG 49WQ95C has 5 ms GtG response times and 178º viewing angles.
Additionally, the LG 49WQ95C is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified and comes factory colour calibrated with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility. Accordingly, the monitor outputs at up to 144 Hz, making it suitable for high-end gaming setups. While LG has included DisplayPort 1.4 and USB Type-C ports, the monitor only utilises the HDMI 2.0 standard on its two HDMI ports.
Separately, the LG 49WQ95C has dual 10 W speakers, an ambient light sensor for automatically adjusting brightness levels, and is capable of recharging a laptop at up to 90 W. Also, LG has equipped two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a USB 2.0 Type-B upstream port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Thankfully, LG has included a KVM switch, allowing you to use one keyboard and mouse pairing across multiple devices. LG has not announced how much the 49WQ95C will cost yet, nor when the monitor will be available. However, DisplaySpecifications asserts that the monitor could cost upwards of US$1,700 when it launches.
